Major League baseball players don’t work all that hard at spring training and may not be the toughest athletes on the planet.
Boston Red Sox starter/duck boat connoisseur Jake Peavy proves the point. He’ll miss his preseason debut on Monday after cutting his finger with a fishing knife.
Spring training is hard.
According to Sean McAdam of CSNNE.com, Peavy lacerated his left index finger and needed stitches.
Peavy won’t be allowed to throw for at least three days and may have to wear a band-aid.
Meanwhile, this hockey player had someone skate over his face. He later returned to the game.
