We got back to our winning ways yesterday as we cashed in 8/10 contests we entered mostly thanks to the starting pitching we suggested Thursday – Adam Wainwright and James Shields. Both starters put up over 40+ FPTS. Yesterday we had the Midas touch; even our punt play of catcher David Ross worked as he had a couple walks and a late RBI. KA-CHING! We’re one step closer to that winter in Cancun. We might even bring a friend.
With the gloating done, we gotta turn the page to the Friday matchups. There’s cheap pitching to consider and some tasty hitting stacks in Colorado and Texas. Let’s get to it , my daily degenerates.
All prices are based on DraftKings pricing system.
SP 1 – Matt Cain, $9,300: Cain is our top pick under 10k. Value + a pitchers park + a light hitting Padres = Ca$h.
SP 2 – Sonny Gray, $10,200: Gray is averaging 23+ FPTS a game in three starts this year and gets the Astros. The Astros $trike out. A lot.
Drew Butera, $1,900: Butera is out tonight so let’s roll the dice on Tim Federwicz. Who? Total punt play here as we look to load up el$ewhere.
1B – Prince Fielder, $4,300: Fielder has gotten off to a slow start in Texas, but he’s at home vs. a terrible starter in Filipe Paulino who is going to get rocked. Expect Prin$e to party like it’s 1999. Sorry.
2B – Scooter Gennett, $2,200: Punting second base again while others overspend on Chase Utely. However, we played the $cooter last night and he gave us more points than Dustin Pedoria.
3B – Pablo Sandoval, $3,600: The Panda is in a terrible slump hitting just .125 and may be hitting down in the order tonight. The price is just too good to pa$$ up for a player about to break out.
SS – Troy Tulowitzki, $5,500: We went cheap at 2B and 3B so we could $plurge on Tulo in the Mile High air. A huge game is expected. *crosses fingers, puts on Larry Walker jersey*
OF1 – Carlos Gonzalez, $5,700: We’re banking on some runs in Colorado tonight. Cargo gets a big chunk of our cash. *crosses fingers, puts on Todd Helton jersey, counts $$*
OF2 – Shin-Soo Choo, $4,800: Vegas has the Rockies and Rangers as the big favorites tonight. $hin-$oo is averaging 7.4 FPTS a game and hit his first homer last night.
OF3 – Collin Cowgill, $2,500: There’s a good chance Cowgill is leading off tonight in front of Trout and Pujols and is under the radar vs. lefties. Got runs? Got ca$h?
Good luck and give me a follow on Twitter for daily fantasy roster 411′s, updates and gifs of chicks in yoga pants.
