Daily fantasy has officially made me a zombie. I think I’ve slept about 4 hours in the past three days. But you know what? I don’t care!!! We are on a paper chase. It’s Saturday and I can sleep when I’m dead.
A lot is going on in the sports world today. The NBA playoffs start today, the NHL playoffs continue, the FedEx cup for you golf fans. There is no reason for you to complain about being bored today. With all that being said, we care about one thing: MLB!!!!!!!!! I found a lot of nice plays today, and will solely focus on the evening games.
All values are based on DraftKings pricing.
SP – Tim Hudson, San Francisco Giants, $11,100 – Padres’ batters are batting .173 lifetime against Hudson. The price makes $ense. The more I play DFS the more I realize that pitching is extremely crucial. Spend the extra money on a decent pitcher.
SP – Ivan Nova, New York Yankees, $7,700 – Nova is priced pretty low due to a couple stinker games earlier this month. I think Nova is a slow starter – look at last year for example. He was sent to the minors and when he returned he dominated. Either way Rays’ hitters are not exactly murderer$ row, and are batting .223 against Nova in his career.
C – Jonathan Lucroy, $3,400, Milwaukee Brewers, $3,400 – Wandy Rodriguez is on the mound for the Pirates. You know what that means for the Pirates? Bad new$. He is going to get rocked.
1B – Casey McGhee, Miami Marlins, $3,400 – McGhee is cheap production. When low on fund$ he is a good hitter to turn to, especially with a left handed pitcher on the mound today for the Mariners.
2B – Leury Garcia, Chicago White Sox, $2,300 – Punt play. I usually go to Scooter Gennett here but his matchup sucks. If Garcia gets on base he is a threat to steal. Here’$ to him getting on base.
SS – Yangervis Solarte, New York Yankees, $3,400 – Who is this guy and why does he keep hitting? Either way he averages almost 8 FPPG and is priced rea$onably. He should be a fixture on your roster as long as he is cheap.
3B – Aramis Ramirez, Milwaukee Brewers, $4,800 – $ee Jonathan Lucroy.
OF – Ryan Braun, Milwaukee Brewers, $5,700 – $ee Aramis Ramirez. PS. Braun absolutely annihilates Rodriguez (4 HR, 11 RBIs, .383 AVG).
OF – Carlos Gonzalez, Colorado Rockies, $5,700 – CarGo at home versus some $chmuck right-handed pitcher on the Phillies? Gimme gimme gimme.
OF – John Mayberry, Philadelphia Phillies, $2,300 – Another punt play. Yes two, but look at all the $exiness we got on the team. Mayberry could be decent today in Colorado where the altitude is higher than Phillip Seymour Hoffman the night before the Super Bowl.
Good luck and remember to always check daily lineups and weather conditions.
