How goes the battle, daily degenerates? Your humble-but-nonetheless-handsome Guru was able to take down seven of 10 contests over the last three days and the bankroll continues to grow – Cancun here we come!
It’s a split schedule today and tonight’s tilt only has nine games. I usually prefer a full schedule, but there’s some tasty matchups tonight with Vegas liking runs to be scored in Colorado (of course) and that Angels – Yankees game looks like a matchup to target.
Here’s the Dirty Turban roster for Wednesday May 7.
All values are based on DraftKings pricing.
SP 1 – Adam Wainwright, $11,900: Waino was smacked around by the Cubs in his last start giving up 10 hits and six runs. That won’t happen again against the Braves who are fourth in the league in Ks. *lights candle, prays to Bob Gibson bobblehead*
SP 2 – Danny Salazar, $7,400: I like to keep my SP budget in the $18-$22,000 range and the price is right for Salazar. Our pal Sal gets the Twins who are third in the AL in $trikeouts.
C – Tucker Barnhart, $2,000: Who? Exactly. It’s a total punt play here, just be sure he’s in the lineup.
1B – Albert Pujols, $5,200: I’ll be running an Angels $tack out there in some 50/50′s as the Halos get a tasty matchup against the lefty Vidal Nuno. Vidal Nuno is also the name of the villain in the next Bond movie. He’s a hairdresser bent on destruction.
2B – DJ LaMahieu, $3,200: I could easily make another lineup of Rockies (and probably will), but where’s the fun in that. Make sure the DJ is $pinning in the Colorado lineup tonight.
3B – Lonnie Chisenhall, $3,100: Really like, like this matchup for L-Chis today – yeah, that’s what I call him. L-Chis is off to a hot start hitting .368, bats in the middle of the lineup and faces Ricky Nolasco whose ERA $tands at 179.56.
SS – J.J. Hardy, $3,600: Troy Tulowitzki is the obvious play here and will be widely owned. I’ll try zigging while others are zagging tonight. J.J. is yet to hit a homer this year. Boom goe$ the dynamite tonight.
OF 1 – Mike Trout, $5,700: By passing on Tulo I can $lide Trout into the lineup. While I’m more of a salmon man myself I like this play a lot versus the no-name Yankee.
OF 2 – Corey Dickerson, $3,800: Dickerson is facing a right-hander in Texas and should be hitting atop that Rockies lineup that may $core 43 runs tonight.
OF 3 – David DeJesus, $3,600: Da Jesus! Don’t scoff, you heathens. DeJe$us has a .568 average and two homers in 13 ABs against O’s starter Bud Norris.
Make sure to check the lineups, give a look at the weather, pour a dram of delicious scotch and good luck.
