Damn the fantasy baseball gods! *lightening strike* It’s been win one, lose one for your humble-but-nonetheless-handsome Guru over the last few days and I’m considering playing fantasy cricket.
MLB has the ol’ split schedule today and the “must own” options are slim tonight. However, we do have something cool for you, my dirty turbaned friends. If you want to take on the experts tonight, and by experts I mean baseball writers that started drinking at noon, the guys at Razzball have set up a 50/50 tonight at DraftKings. Just click this link, enter promo code “Razzball” to get a first time deposit match and a ticket into the contest.
Here’s your dirty turbaned Guru’s lineup for Thursday 5/15 contest. Good luck, cheers.
SP 1 – Tyler Skaggs, $7,700: $kaggs has put up 20+ FPTS in three of his last four starts and is coming off his best start of the year. Those Tampa bats don’t scare anyone and they will be without Ben Zobrist who dislocated his thumb last night.
SP 2 – Danny Salazar, $7,400: $alazar is a risky play tonight -especially in Toronto. However, he’s averaging 6+ Ks a game and with the Jays starting J.A. Happ, Danny boy could get a W tonight.
C – Salvador Perez, $3,900: Our pal $al loves him some lefties – he’s hitting .351 off them the last three seasons.
1B – Albert Pujols, $4,800: I like a mini-stack of Angels against Eric “Why am I still in the majors” Bedard. Big Al has 10 homers on the year and will $lug number 11 after tonight.
2B – Howie Kendrick, $4,900: Another Angel in our lineup. Bless us. Howie is averaging 9+ FPTS this season and can score us points in so many ways – hit$, run$, homer$, steal$.
3B – Carlos Santana, $4,200: An Indians mini-$tack is another great way to go tonight as the Blue Jays send J.A. Happ to the hill. “J.A.” stands for “Just Awful.”
SS – Asdrubal Cabrera, $4,600: The A$$-man is averaging 15+ FPTS over his last three games and we’re picking on the Jays tonight.
OF 1 – Mike Trout, $5,700: I’m waiting for that game where Trout just goes off and $cores 40 points in a night. Tonight’s the night. And that’s me quoting Rod Stewart.
OF 2 – Jacoby Ellsbury, $4,600: I like what Ell$bury brings to the table – he can hit for power, steal bases and the ladies love him. Hell, if he walks in the first inning, steals second then scores that’s a good night fantasy-wise right there.
OF 3 – Gregor Blanco, $2,200: Punt play alert. With Angel Pagan nursing a sore knee, Blanco got the start last night and put up 30+ FPTS with a hit, two walks, three runs and three steals. Just make sure he’s in tonight’s lineup.
