The cold streak is over! We are back to our winning ways after taking down four of five contests including a ninth place finish in a tourney that made a nice bit of coin – no, not Bit Coin, I don’t even know what the hell that is. Whatevs, either way we are building that bankroll and move one step closer to at winter of umbrella drinks in sunny Cancun.
We have 11 games on the slate tonight, a few aces on the bump, big bats to stack in Baltimore, Colorado and Oakland and some weather to watch in Cleveland, Detroit and Cincy.
Here’s your dirty turbaned Guru’s team for Wednesday 6/4. Good luck, cheers.
All values are based on DraftKings pricing.
SP 1 – David Price, $10,500: Price faces the Marlins who have struggled on the road rhis season. Over his last four starts, Price is averaging 8 innings and 8 Ks. The Price is right, come on down!
SP 2 – Tony Cingrani, $7,600: There is some risk here, but Tony C does have 8.4 K/9 and faces a San Fran offense that is ranked 17th against lefties this season.
C – Jose Molina, $1,900: My philosophy is don’t spend on catcher – unless your playing in a 1975 Fantasy League then go crazy and get Johnny Bench.
1B – Chris Davis, $4,500: A lot of options tonight, but the Vegas sharks have the BAL/TEX over/under at 9 1/2 and while I’ll have Paul Goldschmidt on some other teams I think Davis goes off in that Texas jet-stream.
2B – Jonathan Schoop, $2,900: The cheapest bang for your buck in the infield tonight. Schoop does have five hits in his last two and did I mention I like the O’s tonight?
3B – Josh Donaldson, $5,600: Donaldson is hitting nearly .300 against lefties with an OPS 1.110 of I’ll have him on every team tonight
SS – Troy Tulowitzki, $5,700: Tulo is at home where he’s hitting .521, went deep last night and, this just in, Tulo is pretty good at baseball.
OF 1 – Adam Jones, $4,200: I’d love to roster Nelson Cruz tonight (and I will on another team), but he’s costly. Grab the next best thing in Mr. Jones who went with a home run last night.
OF 2 – Nick Markakis, $3,700: Markakis has 13 hits over his 10 games, hits high in the order and I’m wearing my Brooks Robinson throwback today. A couple other plays I like at around the same price are Yoenis Cespedes and Corey Dickerson.
OF 3 – Kole Calhoun, $3,400: The price is right for this sneaky play tonight as Kole faces the lefty Jarred Cosart in Houston. If you’re going to save, look for some upside. Calhoun is averaging nearly 9 FPTS in his last five games.
Good luck and remember to always check daily lineups and weather conditions.
