The cold streak is officially over as I’ve doubled the bankroll in just three days. It would probably make sense to just go all Kenny Rogers here and play ‘The Gambler” on repeat – know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em, know when to walk away, know when to run. But what fun is there in that?! This DFS cash is going towards a winter vacation in Cancun and at this rate we may get to stay there three months and have enough leftover for a new liver.
We have 14 games on the slate tonight, a number of aces on the bump and some big bats to stack in Colorado, Baltimore and Texas.
Here’s your dirty turbaned Guru’s team for Friday 6/6. Good luck, cheers.
All values are based on DraftKings pricing.
SP 1 – Cole Hamels, $8,900: A lot of tasty options at pitcher tonight and, while I’ll have Darvish and Cueto on a few teams, I think Hamels is a great value. He has at least 6 K’s in five of his last six starts and the Reds are near the bottom of the league against lefties.
SP 2 – Matt Cain, $8,200: This could be risky as Cain is making his first start after a DL stint with a hamstring problem. Know what’s good for a bad hammy? Bad Mets hitters. Tanner Roark is another nice value play tonight.
C – Jose Molina, $1,900: Punt play alert. Grab the cheapest catcher on the board that’s playing tonight. If you want to spend, Buster Posey’s in a good spot.
1B – Adrian Gonzalez, $4,800: It’s another stack attack at Mile High as the Dodgers roll into Denver. Gonzo has been cool lately, but tonight the stars align for a big game. Gonzo kills righties(.297 BA, .373 OBP, .404 wOBA with 11 HR this year), faces a rookie that’s never played above Double-A and, oh yeah, the game is at Coors Field.
2B – Ben Zobrist, $3,500: Nice price for Zoby who has homers in his last two games. The Rays could make a very sneaky stack tonight.
3B – Manny Machado, $3,700: The Macho Man has been swinging a big stick with seven hits in his last four games. Tonight he faces left-hander Tommy Milone and Manny likey the lefties.
SS – Hanley Ramirez, $5,400: It’s a toss up between Tulo and Han-Ram tonight and maybe my turban’s too tight, but I think Ramirez goes beast tonight.
OF 1 – Yasiel Puig, $5,600: ManBearPuig is your Guru’s dong of the night. Bank on it. Don’t trust my dong-o-meter? Nelson Cruz will make the meter move tonight too.
OF 2 – Adam Jones, $4,300: Jones has been on fire lately averaging 20 FPTS over his last three games. Ride the hot hand. Other players I like around this price are Shin-Soo Choo, Matt Kemp, and Hunter Pence.
OF 3 – Andre Ethier, $3,300: Closing out our Dodgers stack with a complete gamble. Either could go 4-for-4 or he could get in a dugout fight with Don Matingly and end up knocked out cold. Other cheap options include Desmond Jennings, Matt Joyce and Kole Calhoun.
