Happy July, Dirty Turbaners. Summer is here and let’s plop ourselves down in the kiddie pool with a couple of brewskies and make some DFS cash.
We have a couple aces on the mound and some bad pitchers to pick on. I’m thinking stack attacks from the Tigers, Nationals and there should be some early 4th of July fireworks in the Orioles/Rangers matchup tonight.
Here’s your dirty turbaned Guru’s team for Tuesday 7/1. Good luck, cheers.

SP 1 – Stephen Strasburg, $10,300: $trasburg is the ace of the night and when he’s pitching at home (.251 ERA, 76 Ks in 57.1 IP at Nationals Park) I just plug him in and pour another beer.
SP 2 – Mike Leake, $8,300: Leake gets the worst hitting team in the history of baseball tonight the San Diego Padres. Leake has thrown back-to-back 8-inning, 1-run games and racked up a career-high 12 K’s in his last $tart.
C – Caleb Joseph, $2,000: Punt play alert. However, Jo$eph does have home run potential and is facing a bad pitcher in Nick Martinez who lasted 2 1/3 innings in his last start.
1B – Chris Davis, $5,600: Love this matchup tonight as Martinez really struggles against lefties – a .424 wOBA vs left-handed hitters. Davis has been slumping lately, but I’m one to try and grab a guy before he gets hot and Davi$ is about to. Let’s hope I don’t get burned.
2B – Anthony Rendon, $4,600: The Nat$ face some guy named Christian Friedrich who has an ERA of 8.10. Rendon let me down last night, but I’m rolling the dice again.
3B – Ryan Zimmerman, $4,500: Yup, we are picking on Mr. Friedrich. It’s a Nats $tack attack. Zimmy rewarded us last night with 19 FPTS and he’s my top 3B on the board.
SS – Jordy Mercer, $2,800: Another punt play, but Mercer has a .356 career average against $outhpaws.
OF 1 – Nick Markakis, $4,300: There are some pricey bats in the OF tonight, but I’m going to look to $ave and grab some guys hitting high in the order in games that should be high scoring. Markakis fits all that.
OF 2 – Jayson Werth, $4,100: The last piece of our Nats $tack attack. Werth has been cold lately, but tonight is the night the beard breaks out. Werth is my pick for Dong of the Night.
OF 3 – James Harrison, $3,500: Another cheapy and I think the Pirates could make for a $neaky $tack. Harrison hits leadoff, can steal multiple bases and should score multiple runs tonight.
