(PHOTO) Soccer Just Got A Lot Cooler, errr, Hotter…Whatever

AAFIRE8Soccer has never really taken off here in the good old US of A, (we like real football!) but after seeing what happened this weekend, I am starting to think that ‘Merica may start to embrace the sport.

A Polish League Soccer match over the weekend lit up…literally!  A fan in attendance, who was a supporter of the visiting Zaglebie Lubin (yeah, I don’t know or care who they are either), tried to climb a fence, which was keeping him from the rest of the stadium.  I know, I know, only in Poland, right???  Anyway, he was met by blast of pepper spray from a police officer.  Why is this such a big deal, you ask?  Well, it seems our fan was holding a lit flare, when the pepper spray douched him the result was a human fireball.

Science lesson #367:  You see, the propellant in the pepper spray is highly flammable (thanks Bill Nye, the Science Guy).  The lit flare ignited the propellant, and the result was the human hotdog on the grill you see above.

The lesson here kiddies?  Don’t bring lit flares to a soccer game in Poland, if you plan on scaling some sort of barricade.  At least he won’t have to worry about that unibrow anymore.  That’s a thing in Europe.  Look it up.
