Besides the time travelling Delorean, the Back To The Future movies introduced a pair of Nike High Tops with “power laces.” In the film, Marty McFly said the shoes were from the year 2015.
Turns out he was right.
Nike designer Tinker Hatfield said power laces will become reality during an appearance at the Jordan Brand’s Flight Lab space in New Orleans on Friday.
Nike released a limited range of McFly’s Nike MAGs with manual laces in 2011 to benefit Michael J. Fox’s Foundation for Parkinson’s Research raising millions.
Now someone get to work on the hoverboard!
